How To Get Cds Out Of A 6 Cd Changer

My daughters vi Disc changer wont eject/play the CD'due south the remove fuse trick doesn't piece of work. I take taken the radio apart and installed it with the CD Changer hanging out the elevation, upon striking eject the carmine or was information technology blue lights come up on only their is no motors moving, it then says Remove the CD every bit if it just ejected information technology.

I take removed the CD Changer and put her radio back in the car so I can effigy out how to go these cd'south out. I encounter you can mayhap take the meridian off simply then all the springs supports are going to become PING beyond the room or let gears drop.. I am guessing.
Is in that location a trick to getting these out? They need to go back to the LIBRARY!!! ugh... dont even want to get started on that!
I tried doing some searches on this but found nothing

My whole take on complex devices is that if it isn't working correct then information technology's broke. Are yous going to be able to notice replacement parts to fix information technology? Probably not unless it's a common role.
Working on electronics is delicate work sometimes and if you aren't comfortable keeping track of minor parts and so you probably won't be able to fix information technology unless there is something jammed in in that location.
And then if you are confident something isn't jammed in there and information technology just stopped working on information technology's own accord, so what I would do is starting time taking it autonomously.

Yeah I am no stranger to violent electronics etc apart, Merely wondering if there is a flim-flam to this. I see GM will become the cd'due south out for a toll.
I am assuming a motor is shot in it. I accept a replacement changer unit if I demand to just kickoff cutting metallic.
I started to take the peak off and saw the gears were existence held in identify by it, so I put it back together and thought to ask before just doing it

There is no trick that I am aware of. You will take to accept it apart piece by slice in a specific gild. Like they would at GM to get the CD's out. There is no reason to use force to take such a fragile affair apart. Once yous get to a certain point the CD'south should but fall out.

ah well I found the trick.... I thought the center post looked suspiciously also easy to twist off. I used a screw drier and but applied force so the heart slice untwisted and fell between the cd's. and then applying some force was able to go each cd's out unharmed, pushing downward on the loose center piece so they could go by it. The outer edges rubbed some metal simply that is ok,

Any idea on what it may have been or if a elementary prepare volition withal operate a cd?

When I realized the replacement would need a VIN program from GM, I just swapped the face off the one I bought. now if this changer doesnt work I am going to swap the changer out of that one. I noticed hers has some extra bolted on circuit to the changer which I can adhere to the replacement one. Not sure that volition work only that wont stop me from trying.

well as a follow upwards...
Information technology looked similar I could fix the issue the 6 disc changer was having but I didnt experience similar messing with it anymore. I got information technology to have a new cd in but the original result that got them stuck was nevertheless present...
So I took the face off and put it dorsum on the replacement BOSE/ONSTAR used radio I bought put information technology in the motorcar, where it showed the FM channels no sound so finally noticed the VINs didnt lucifer and LOCKED.
Brought the motorcar to a friend who works at a dealer ship and as he went to program it told me he couldnt program it considering information technology wasnt out of the same year car...
just idiotic... actually?
had plenty with this VIN# lock idiocy... bought a Sony CDXGT660UP and the GMS-04 module off amazon. so at present the auto has USB, inputs absurd colored lights and another storage expanse under the radio.... aforementioned display of station/group/audio title
